Embracing Vulnerability
The Kintsugi Way
I believe that healing begins with embracing our brokenness, and the Kintsugi art of mending broken pottery beautifully embodies this philosophy.
Just like Kintsugi pottery, we experience trauma and hurt. These wounds, though painful, are part of what makes us human. The cracks tell our story.
In Kintsugi, instead of hiding the breaks, Kintsugi cracks are filled with gold, creating a unique, stronger, and more beautiful piece. This process mirrors our journey as men. Through vulnerability, love, and risk, we allow ourselves to be broken open and, in doing so, rediscover our innate essence—pure, deep love.
By allowing ourselves to open our hearts, even at the risk of them breaking a thousand times, we build a more resilient, powerful version of ourselves. This is the key to true healing and safety—first for ourselves and then for those we care for: our women, our children, our businesses, and the world.
Healing isn’t about avoiding pain or pretending to be whole — it’s about rediscovering the beauty and strength within us after we’ve been through the fire. When we honor our brokenness and reclaim our love, we step into the fullness of who we are meant to be.
